For a faraway family

I used to teach at a 7-12 academic magnet school in Nashville, TN, and I keep in touch with my former students through Facebook. One of them, now in her mid-twenties, already had a 4-year-old girl and a baby boy on the way when her boyfriend and the father of her children suddenly died in a car accident. My envelope didn’t have a whole lot in it, but I felt like it should go to her. So I deposited the cash and asked for her mailing address to send a check or her email address to use PayPal, and she gave me her mailing address to send a check.
